Villains and Summer Vibes
The new single “Villains” is out now and has a jangle-pop summer vibe. A video for the song is available on Bandcamp and will be uploaded to YouTube soon.
Just a heads-up that our next single "Villains", as of August 20th will be available everywhere you can find it! You might have spotted it in the welcome email or on Bandcamp, but it’s officially out as of now.
The song is called ‘Villains,’ but it’s more jangle-pop summer vibes than anything sinister or evil. It’s like when Teenage Fanclub were on SNL and they mixed ‘What You Do to Me’ and ‘Pet Rock’ into one song. We’ve been playing this one live in rehearsals for a while, and it sounds amazing—it’s definitely going to be in our set for our October show!
Villains - the Video
We actually have a video for it on bandcamp, and eventually when I have time I'll put it on YouTube. You wouldn't recognize it, but the video includes clips that I took of different spots at the old science centre, before the roof was somehow deemed "unsafe" and it was shuttered.
West Coast - Summer Vibes
Speaking of other news, I just got back from British Columbia. It’s absolutely beautiful out there. (Luckily we avoided the wildfires which are truly sad.) I really enjoyed the mix of west coast and British vibes. It's like a magic combination of watching the pacific ocean waves roll in and being able to get a decent cup of tea. Tofino and Vancouver Island were amazing and felt like no other place in Canada.
It feels like the summer has flown by. It was great to be back in Toronto, and the band is starting to get ready for our show in October.
Vinyl update
We’re making great progress! The artwork and insert have been given the thumbs up, and the plant has just sent us the test pressings, and we’re eagerly awaiting them.
